Tibet is a country in Central Asia, at the top of the the Himalayas. The
average elevation is over 12,000 feet, and it is has a dry, cold climate.
Tibet is, depending on one's political views, either an independent country
occupied by the People's Republic of China or a province of China, the TAR
(Tibetan Autonomous Region).
This site's creators, William and Anne Crosby-Lundin, have travelled
throughout China, Tibet, and the surrounding region. Our intention in making
this site is to increase awareness about Tibet.
The site is divided into general categories:

Tibetan politics and history.
- Sights and Sounds

- Culture - This section contains
information about Tibetan art, religion and Tibetan folktales.
- Other Resources - Provides a thorough
list of both on and offline resources about Tibet,
including movies, books and music.
- Discussion - This is a bulletin board
for discussing issues about Tibet. Anyone may post to it.
- Search/Site Map - The Site
Map shows all major categories and their subcategories. Two
search engines (ht://Dig and Swish) are
available for searching the site.
